Get user country… No! Guess!

You may (or not) have noticed that the option ‘Get user country’ changed to ‘Guess user country from IP’. This is because people shouldn’t complain that DC++ gets the wrong country.

The file GeoIPCountryWhois.csv (which you can find in the directory where you have DC++ installed) is used to guess the user country. DC++ searches, in this file, for the IP the user in question has. If the user’s IP is not known, DC++ doesn’t waste resources trying to lookup the country.

You can get the newest version here. I have to note though, that no one in the DC++ project are affiliated with the development of this file.
